Seven new sustainable business units completed at Bodmin’s Normandy Way Business hub
Cornish developer Treveth Commercial LLP has officially completed its new Normandy Way Business Hub in Bodmin, delivering seven high-quality, energy efficient commercial units now available for occupation.
To mark the milestone, Treveth hosted an open event for key partners, stakeholders and local businesses, giving attendees the opportunity to tour the completed units and learn more about the development.
Located on the Walker Lanes Industrial Estate, the 910sqm space has been constructed by Poltair Construction and delivers a new flexible workspace for light industrial, manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse occupiers.
Supported by the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme and part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the development represents continued investment in Cornwall’s business infrastructure, helping to address demand for high-quality, modern employment space.
Each of the seven new units is designed to B2/B8 use class and built to high sustainability and accessibility standards. Key features include:
- 6m eaves height and open-plan internal layout
- Solar PV panels and EV charging to each unit
- Energy-efficient construction and enhanced insulation
- Roller shutter doors, car parking and cycle storage
- Mezzanine-ready design for future expansion
The Normandy Way Business Hub also delivers a biodiversity net gain through enhanced landscaping and sustainable site design. During construction, the project team reduced environmental impact by saving over five tonnes of CO₂e and avoiding approximately 4,000m³ of soil movement through a redesigned sub-base solution enabling on-site reuse of materials.
Robert Churchill, Senior Commercial Property Manager at Treveth, commented: “It was fantastic to welcome our partners and local businesses to the Normandy Way Business Hub to mark its completion. We’re extremely proud of our latest commercial development which provides much needed high-quality workspace in a strong strategic location close to the A30.
“Demand for modern commercial space in Cornwall remains high, and these seven modern units offer flexible opportunities for growing businesses or those relocating into the area. Interested occupiers are encouraged to get in touch with our agents, Vickery Holman, for further information.
“The Normandy Way Business Hub strengthens Treveth’s growing commercial portfolio, and supports our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable workspace that helps local businesses grow and contributes to Cornwall’s economy.”
Treveth currently owns and manages commercial units across Bodmin, Helston, Pool, and Falmouth, all of which are currently fully let. The Cornwall Council founded developer aims to deliver at least 5,000 sqm of commercial space across Cornwall each year.
