The challenge
To support Prolojik with a step change in its business, as it launched a first-of-its-kind lighting control product to the UK market and began a five-year growth strategy.
Our solutions
Although it had a website and brochure, Prolojik had not engaged in any other marketing communications or PR before, therefore we started at the beginning by establishing a clear set of key messages. We then set about creating a communications plan that targeted Prolojik’s key audiences of M&E and electrical contractors and facilities managers, with a particular focus on the innovative new power over Ethernet Lightmatrix system. With our eyes firmly set on awareness raising and credibility generating activities, we began a media relations programme with key industry titles and entered a number of major industry awards. We set up, wrote and issued a brand new e-newsletter, Prolojik Perspective, as well as writing copy for a new, responsive website and marketing brochures. We also established a set of social media accounts and handle the ongoing management of content for the pages.
What we achieved
In our first year of working with Prolojik the company won its first major award – Controls Product of the Year for Lightmatrix at the Lux Awards. This was soon followed up by a shortlisting at the BCIA Awards and 2016 bought two  national shortlistings. Media coverage has been achieved in several key media, including bylined features in the CIBSE Journal and Building Engineer, and the new website and e-newsletter programme are performing well, with the latter exceeding average industry open rates. Social media accounts are steadily growing and Prolojik is successfully forging ahead with its ambitious growth plans.
