New sustainable Luxury Body Sponge launched for blissful bathing
Responding to the demand for more sustainable bodycare products, Ramer Sponges has launched its first sponge available in 100% recyclable cardboard packaging.
An ethical alternative to a natural sea sponge, Ramer’s new Luxury Body Sponge (£5.50 RRP) has been specifically designed to mimic the texture and feel of the plant-like animal. The first Ramer Sponges product to be sold dry in a cardboard box, the sponge will instantly soften when soaked in warm water. The packaging can then be added to your household recycling bin alongside other cardboard in the normal way.
Made from a magical material, this hypoallergenic sponge hardens as it dries helping to prevent the growth of bacteria, is long lasting and machine washable at 40o C.
The new product launch comes after it has been revealed that Gen Z (those born between 1997 and 2012) are prioritising sustainable brands when it comes to their shopping habits. In a recent survey of 2,000 people by Depop and Bain and Company, 90% have made changes to be more sustainable in their daily lives and 45% are influenced by eco-friendly materials.
As its name suggests, Ramer’s Luxury Body Sponge offers a truly luxurious pampering experience. Used with a preferred shower gel or cream, the sponge will soon create a rich lather, ready to wash and gently exfoliate the skin. The sponge can hold 12 times its weight in water, drenching the body and providing an incredible bathing experience.
To suit all bathroom interiors, the Ramer Luxury Body Sponge is available in two colours: Hessian and Forest Green. Unlike a natural sea sponge which can soon disintegrate, the Ramer Luxury Body Sponge does not lint or tear, is long lasting and easily kept fresh and clean by popping it in the washing machine.
In addition to leaving natural sea sponges in the sea where they belong, the Ramer Luxury Body Sponge is vegan-friendly. Sea sponges are vital to scientific research on the history of life on earth.
