Lightfoot, the groundbreaking in-cab driver improvement technology, and Bott, a world-leading vehicle conversion specialist, have announced their success in securing places on the much-coveted Procurement for Housing (PfH) Tender Framework covering contract hire, fleet management and associated services.

As preferred suppliers to the Framework, Lightfoot and Bott can now be appointed by public sector housing providers without the need for a full tender, enhancing their offering to councils and public sector bodies by eliminating the extra time and resources required for full tender processes.

Lightfoot and Bott have worked closely together for a number of years, with Bott taking care of customers’ vehicles and Lightfoot taking care of their drivers. With Lightfoot’s ability to reduce fuel expenditure by 15-20% and accident rates by up to 60%, and Bott’s range of innovative solutions and superior product quality, the two companies provide an excellent and perfectly aligned offering to customers.

Managing the purchasing of over £2.5 million of goods and services a week, Procurement for Housing is a leading professional procurement services provider in the housing sector.  It represents over 900 members throughout the UK and helps Registered Social Housing Landlords save over £55 million a year.

Lightfoot and Bott welcome the framework announcement and believe that the preferred supplier status will enhance their ability to work with PfH members. It will reduce the time and admin required to use either as a supplier, meaning that housing associations and councils can enjoy the benefits both businesses offer in a more timely and cost effective manner.

Martin Kadhim, Sales Director at Lightfoot, commented: “We’re genuinely excited to have been awarded a place on the PfH Framework.  Preferred supplier status significantly enhances our growth plans in the public sector, where we’re already work with a number of housing associations and councils to successfully reduce risk and minimise fleet costs, cutting emissions, reducing fuel bills, accidents, and vehicle wear and tear.”

Kadhim added: “Through our real-time in-cab driver training technology and our unique rewards platform, Lightfoot motivates drivers to behave safely and sensibly on the road.  It helps make our roads safer, our environment greener and our fleet operations less costly.  We believe this will be a significant draw to PfH members interested in technology that enables a safer, smoother and more efficient driving style, generating significant savings on fuel, increased levels of driver wellbeing and reduced workload for fleet managers.”

Commenting on Bott’s success in being re-awarded a place on the Framework Kadhim said: “Lightfoot and Bott, our racking partner, share the same customer-focused approach, providing smart solutions designed to increase efficiency, improve duty of care and save money.  We’re looking forward to working together through the Framework to deliver PfH members outstanding service and savings.”
