Impromptu show home visit sparks dream home purchase for Newton Abbot couple

Mechanic Richard Collins (37) and Care Manager Liane Collins (23) didn’t expect to find their dream home during an afternoon walk in Newton Abbot: “We weren’t actually house hunting, we had a spare hour one weekend so thought we’d have a walk down to Stanbury Meadows to look at the site and show homes, just to be nosy really. We didn’t expect to buy one!” commented Richard.

Richard and Liane are now the proud owners of a three bedroom Letchworth house type at Redrow’s popular Stanbury Meadows development, after moving just 200 metres up the road from another Redrow development, The Fairways. The couple used the government’s Help to Buy scheme to upgrade from their two bedroom Evesham house type to their new three bedroom Letchworth: “We chose to buy a Redrow home again because our first home at The Fairways was built to such a high quality. My favourite part of the house is the big lounge where I can cuddle up with our dog Nelson on the sofa to watch TV, and Liane’s is the kitchen/dining room as we now have more space to entertain friends and family,” commented Richard, “We also bought off-plan and were able to choose our kitchen colour scheme, bathroom tiles, extended paving etc.”
