Good news for Devon foodies as Powderham Food Festival announces its return for 2018

Devon’s popular Powderham Food Festival will return this autumn as organisers announce this year’s dates.

Powderham Food Festival, the autumnal foodie event that celebrates the South West’s finest food and drink producers, will return on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October 2018, 10am to 5pm. Now in its seventh year, the festival will be hosted in the grounds of the beautiful Powderham Castle and promises to provide a fantastic family, foodie and fun day out for all to enjoy.

Brimming with all things edible, drinkable and delectable from over 150 producers, there are also demonstrations from a line-up of the region’s best culinary talents and new this year are a range of masterclasses at both the Exeter Cookery School Theatre and the Theatre of Fire and Smoke.

There are scores of food-related activities across the two-day festival, which is a magnet for foodie fans of all ages. Set in, and against the backdrop, of Devon’s finest castle, you can savour exciting street food, discover new artisan products, shop and learn from the foodie experts, enjoy live music, be inspired by culinary heroes in the Exeter Cookery School Theatre and get hands-on in the new masterclasses.

Powderham Food Festival will also see the return of the popular Theatre of Fire and Smoke hosted by barbecue legends Simon Dyer, Marcus Bawdon and John Gower from Quiet Waters Farm.

Organiser Bob Small is looking forward to this year’s festival and claims it will be bigger and better than ever before.
