The Challenge
To help elevate the presence of Team Cornwall and promote the launch of the region’s key capital development programme at UKREiiF, the biggest UK Real Estate event of the year. We were first appointed in May 2024 and re-appointed to help with this project in 2025. Due to Cornwall Council being in a state of purdah in May 2025, Absolute’s activities were heavily focused on social media activity.
Our Solution
Our strategy was two-fold and involved a targeted PR and Marketing campaign to showcase Cornwall’s key capital development programme and also highlight a speaker programme of panel discussions, presentations and talks that key representatives from Cornwall Council, Cornwall Trade and Investment and Treveth would be leading on during UKREiiF.
This strategy was facilitated through a proactive and reactive press office to generate coverage across key regional and national property, construction and investment titles. In 2024, Absolute produced and distributed two press releases, one highlighting Cornwall’s attendance at UKREiiF and its capital development programme; and the other to showcase a £3.4bn Supported Housing Scheme. In 2025, Absolute could not distribute a press release but invited key trade media to the stand instead to help facilitate meetings and conversations.
Absolute helped to further strengthen Team Cornwall’s profile by strategically crafting a social media schedule as well as producing LinkedIn-appropriate content and accompanying imagery before, during and after UKREiiF.
To facilitate maintaining relationships with the delegate Team Cornwall met during the event, Absolute created follow-up communications to be sent to all stand attendees whose details were captured.
What We Achieved
Absolute achieved national and regional coverage in key property, construction and investment publications. Trade and business titles included Inside Housing, Property Week, MSN, South West Business Insider, Business Live, PBC Today, BDC Magazine and many others.
Impressively, the total readership value of our media relations activity equated to a coverage figure of over 2.31 billion.
In 2025, Absolute’s media invite achieved a 60% open rate and 40% click rate.
Additionally, Absolute’s social media strategy for LinkedIn achieved strong results. In 2024, we achieved 225 reactions and 23 reposts across a total of eight posts published to the Cornwall Trade and Investment’s LinkedIn page. In 2025, when Absolute’s activity was heavily focused on LinkedIn, 18 posts were published delivering a total of 417 reactions, 34 comments and 44 reposts.
