Exeter-based PR and marketing communications agency Absolute PR & Marketing is providing its expertise as the official communications partner of Dartmoor National Park’s new Moor Otters public arts initiative.
The agency is undertaking a consultancy role to support the fundraising project, which aims to raise £100,000 to support projects to conserve and enhance Dartmoor’s landscape and wildlife, as well as improve access for everybody to the Moor.
Moor Otters is a series of 100 life-size sculptures that will be displayed in accessible public areas around Dartmoor and the gateway towns during the summer of 2017. The unique pieces of art will form a trail to celebrate the incredible diversity of habitats and wildlife on the Moor, while raising important funds through sponsorship opportunities and the eventual sale of the artworks.
Rachael Whitson, Managing Director of Absolute PR & Marketing, commented: “As a local business we are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting campaign. The trail will be a fantastic opportunity to showcase local artistic talent while shining a light on important conservation issues and raising vital funds. We are especially supportive of the Moor Otters campaign as it seeks to educate and highlight how fortunate we are to have such spectacular scenery and wildlife in the heart of Devon.
“We’re looking forward to bringing our marketing expertise to the project and working with the team to ensure its success.”
Dave Southern, Moor Otters project manager, said: “We are so pleased to kick start the campaign with communications support from the Absolute PR & Marketing team, who will be working with us right throughout the initiative over the next 12 months. They share our enthusiasm for the project and their PR and marketing expertise will add real value to Moor Otters.”
