The region’s leading stove and cooker specialist, Rangemoors, which has been supplying and fitting stoves and range cookers across the West Country for more than 40 years, has expanded with the launch of a new venture in Exeter to focus on their luxury brands.
Hearth & Cook by Rangemoors, will showcase an exclusive range of the finest stoves and range cookers at a new Exeter showroom and will be the only West Country distributor displaying many of these world-class brands.
Offering discerning customers access to three of Europe’s leading brands for heating, cooking and living: Morso, La Cornue and Esse the new venture is the result of more than £200,000 investment by Rangemoors.
Rangemoors which already has an established 6,000sq ft purpose built showroom in Winkleigh, launched Hearth & Cook after spotting a gap in the market, as Managing Director Andrew Baker says: “Rangemoors has such a long and impressive history selling stoves and range cookers and recently we’ve seen the European trends for very top end, premium statement appliances filter through to us. Our Winkleigh location is extensive, but we’re also focused on further expansion into the South and East of Devon and the new Exeter location facilitates this more easily and allows us to deliver a very upmarket product offering.”
Based at Exeter’s Matford business park the Hearth & Cook showroom will display a handpicked selection of premium stoves and range cookers. “There’s a real passion for design, heritage and outstanding performance at the heart of Hearth & Cook. For many decades Rangemoors has been focused on quality customer service – ensuring we sell the right product to the right person for the right reasons. And it’s this reputation for our commitment to quality which has allowed us to now launch Hearth & Cook with exclusive dealer relationships – which means we’re offering many products that aren’t available elsewhere in the region,” adds Andrew.
Leading Danish stove designers and manufacturers, Morso, have selected Hearth & Cook as the major distributor of their stoves in the West Country and the Exeter showroom is the only location in the region to offer such an extensive range of Morso’s traditional and contemporary cast iron stoves.
Hearth & Cook are proud to have also been chosen by premium French range cooker manufacturer, La Cornue, to be an exclusive dealer of its extraordinary and beautifully crafted cookers – considered by gourmets worldwide to be the ultimate in culinary architecture. The Exeter showroom will showcase the largest display of La Cornue appliances outside London.
British range cooker manufacturers, ESSE, has also chosen to showcase their collection of traditional classic range cookers at Heart & Cook. The handcrafted cookers are renowned for their superb functionality and durability and have featured in kitchens for over 150 years, including famously used by Shackleton and his team during their 1914 Antarctic explorations.
Devon kitchen specialist Ashgrove Kitchens are supporting the new Hearth & Cook showroom which will display the premium range cookers set within their beautiful, bespoke kitchens. “For more than a decade Rangemoors has worked alongside Ashgrove Kitchens and we are delighted they’ve partnered us at Hearth & Cook to display their range of hand crafted kitchens,” adds Andrew. Hearth & Cook displays more than 35 appliances, including live working models and employs 6 permanent staff, including two Ashgrove Kitchens designers.
Hearth & Cook caters to industry professionals as well as consumers and the business plans to develop the first floor of their two-storey building to showcase further products as the business evolves in 2016.
“The opening of Hearth & Cook is a significant milestone for Rangemoors as the business expands into new areas, it’s also an exciting opportunity for Exeter as now there’s access to a number of world-class brands for the first time right here in the West Country.
“Hearth & Cook is backed by 40 years of Rangemoors’ expertise and so offers a complete and bespoke service to customers – everything from design, to installation to after care – we’ll take care of every element for customers,” concludes Andrew.
Hearth & Cook opened on 19 November and the chef-owners of Exeter’s newest culinary offering, the Exeter Cookery School joined the directors of Rangemoors and Hearth & Cook to celebrate the opening of the new showroom. Professional chefs will feature regularly at Hearth &Cook’s series of exclusive events, master-classes and chef demonstrations.
