Office Apprentice role opens at Redrow

An Office Apprentice vacancy at an award-winning national housebuilder’s head office in Pynes Hill, Exeter has just become available for one ambitious individual. Redrow West Country is offering the chance to work towards an NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration whilst getting paid on the job.
The opportunity to gain practical experience of administration in a responsible role at the Exeter head office will start on a one-year contract to complete an NVQ Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration. If the individual really stands out, this could potentially lead to a permanent role with Redrow.
Sales Office Assistant Gemma Green, who joined Redrow’s Exeter division last year as an Office Apprentice and has since progressed into a permanent role, commented: “When I decided to apply to be a Redrow apprentice I was working in Childcare. I really wanted a change and the idea of being a part of the Admin Team for a reputable national housebuilder like Redrow was not an opportunity to miss, so I went online and applied. This turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, as I have gained so many new skills and got myself a permanent role in the Sales and Marketing department as a Sales Office Assistant.”
Gemma began as an Office Apprentice spending one or two days a week in each department, gathering a range of knowledge from all areas which created a solid foundation to build upon: “It was a year’s apprenticeship that I signed up for, but Redrow offered me a permanent role after eight months which was really exciting, I was thrilled. There’s a lot of room for progression within the company – I believe one of the Regional Directors started off as an apprentice!”
Gemma concluded: “I feel completely embedded as a valued Redrow employee. I would definitely encourage anyone thinking about becoming an apprentice to make the first steps and enquire – it’s been one of the best things I’ve ever done. You can’t beat getting paid while you learn alongside a fun, like-minded team. And of course knowing there are so many opportunities ahead of you.”
Redrow is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious individual to fill this role, assisting the department with their day to day administration tasks and implement new ideas to seek ways of both improving the contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.
