UK’s largest pet-friendly accommodation portal launches with good deed for assistance dog charity, Canine Partners
Passpawt.com, a new name in pet-friendly accommodation, is set to shake up the pet travel market in 2018 following its launch this week. Its aim is to become the confused.com of the sector, putting an end to the hassle of trawling through hundreds of websites, large and small, to find a ‘pawfect’ place to stay.
Instantly becoming the UK’s largest provider of pet-friendly accommodation, Passpawt.com has over 6,500 properties in the British Isles alone, and is tapping into a market that’s worth over £7 billion a year, £192m of which is spent on pet-friendly holidays in the UK.
Passpawt.com aims to expand its portfolio, which will include everything from cottages, yurts, shepherd huts, hotels, lodges and boats, to over 20,000 this year, including more than 12,000 European properties, many of which will be live and ready to book by the end of March 2018.
To mark its launch in the Year of the Dog, Passpawt.com is donating 5% of its commission made between January and the end of March 2018, to Canine Partners, a charity that provides specially trained dogs that help suffers of a range of complex conditions – such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and strokes. These vital assistance dogs are capable of everything from fetching help in an emergency to picking up dropped items, helping applicants undress, retrieve cash and cards from an ATM, and they’ll even load the washing machine.
With more than 240,000 pet friendly property bookings made in the UK each year, Passpawt.com hopes to donate thousands of pounds to Canine Partners, during what is the busiest booking period of the year for cottages and holiday homes.
Set up by a management team that includes Stewart Black – former Business Development Director for Love Cottages, and Blue Chip Holidays, and former Head of Sales at Homeaway Holiday Rentals – Passpawt.com has been created to address the fractured nature of the pet-friendly accommodation market.
Encompassing portfolios from many of the main providers of pet-friendly accommodation* in the UK, as well as hundreds of independent property owners, Passpawt.com promises to offer accommodation at the same price as can be found direct, putting an end to the need to undergo multiple searches for the ideal pet-friendly accommodation in 2018.
Passpawt.com also plans to become a hub for information on travelling with pets offering tips, guides on places to stay and visit, competitions, news, articles, advice and special offers from pet product partners.
