Absolute PR and Marketing January – March 2026 Highlights

After a wet and wintry start to the year, team Absolute is welcoming the arrival of spring with open arms. It has been a productive first quarter full of purposeful campaigns, meaningful results and valued client successes. From securing high profile media coverage to working supporting clients on standout events, it has been exciting! Here are just a few highlights from what has been a busy and successful start to 2026.
Teledyne Marine exhibiting at Oceanology International
One of our busiest events of the year, we’ve been helping Teledyne Marine with their presence at Oceanology International in London, a major trade exhibition for our client. Over 15,000 delegates attend and 461 exhibitors from 30 countries compete for their attention. That’s where Team Absolute plays its part in ensuring Teledyne Marine makes the most of the opportunities that the event has to offer.
In the lead-up to the event, we developed and distributed a series of press releases, including the milestone announcement of Teledyne RESON’s 50th anniversary, and new product launches.
During the show itself, we supported multiple new product unveilings and facilitated a series of one-to-one media meetings on the stand with editors from six key trade publications.
We also organised media interviews on the stand and supported wider e-marketing activity around the show, ensuring Teledyne Marine’s presence was felt well beyond the exhibition floor.
Over 60 pieces of worldwide coverage for Sustain Wiltshire
Our work with Sustain Wiltshire has resulted in a remarkable quarter of coverage, driven by a story that has resonated far and wide.
The unveiling of the world’s first growing dome powered by landfill gas captured huge national and international attention, and the coverage reflected that. Over 40 pieces landed in just seven days, including pieces in The Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, and on BBC Radio 4. Add to that, pieces in leading farming and environmental trade titles, in regional publications, on regional TV and radio, and on MSN, Yahoo, and AOL, and we achieved in excess of 60 pieces of coverage. With further interest from high profile science YouTubers and TV production companies, it’s safe to say that it’s a story that continues to grow!
The story itself is a compelling one: by transforming landfill gas into heat, power and CO₂, the positively-pressured growing domes create perfect conditions in which affordable fruit and vegetables can be grown for the local community year-round. It is an ambitious project, and one with the potential to transform the future of both food production and waste treatment.
We are thrilled to have played a part in bringing the attention of the world to Sustain Wiltshire’s technology, and with planning already underway for a third Sustain Britain conference this September – which has been extended to two days, featuring a host of new high-profile speakers – we’re excited about what lies ahead!
Taking Experience Salcombe into the shoulder season
Our work with Experience Salcombe this quarter has shown exactly what’s possible with the right strategy. With the summer crowds gone, the challenge was to keep the stunning South Devon destination front of mind for travellers looking for something a little different.
We have secured national coverage, raising the profile of Salcombe beyond its peak-season reputation and positioning it as a destination to visit all year-round. We’ve organised press trips with high-profile titles, including a major piece in The Sun, bringing the beauty and character of this gem of a seaside town to a huge audience.
We also developed a competition in partnership with Yeo Valley aimed at driving brand awareness and obtaining valuable data capture for Salcombe holiday home specialist, Finest Stays. Complementing this, we’ve even created an exclusive Yeo Valley customer offer campaign for Salcombe-based Aubin – the modern British Menswear outlet.
Together, these campaigns are building real momentum for Salcombe as an off-season destination, and we’re looking forward to seeing them continue to bear fruit.
St Boniface public consultation delivered in under three weeks
When the brief calls for speed, Team Absolute delivers.
Boniface Community Homes is putting forward proposals for the redevelopment of a derelict church in Paignton, St Boniface, into 25 affordable flats for local people over the age of 55.
With the proposals set to go to the Torbay Council Planning on 30th April 2026, we had to get to work quickly. And so in under three weeks we planned, organised and promoted a full public consultation, encompassing both physical and virtual elements.
We developed copy for a dedicated website, new social media channels and social posts, a leaflet and poster campaign, press releases, display boards, and more.
We’re proud of what the team pulled together in such a short timeframe, and with several other public consultation projects already in motion for the future, we’re just getting started!
A sparkling start for UK Protection
And on the subject of quick turn arounds, we’re delighted to share that just days after starting work for one of our latest clients – retail guarding, and manned security specialist, UK Protection, we secured coverage in both the UK and US editions of WatchPro, with more to follow in Professional Jeweller.
With a series of exciting service launches in the pipeline, it’s set to be a busy rest of the year ahead.
As we head into Q2, we’re excited to keep the momentum going and continue delivering purposeful, impactful campaigns for every client we work with.
