Exeter-based agency celebrates milestone anniversary

Award-winning Exeter-based agency, Absolute PR and Marketing, is celebrating 22 years in business. Specialising in building brands, profiles and reputations for clients ranging from start-ups to household names, encompassing specialist areas including marine and green tech, fin tech, tourism, transport, property, infrastructure, manufacturing, and the circular economy, the business marked the milestone occasion with a special event for clients, business associates and friends.

Held at Brickhouse Vineyard, near Mamhead, guests came together to toast the landmark achievement with a special wine tasting experience, live music from singer/songwriter Sadie Horler, and a celebratory dinner.

Founded in 2000 by PR and marketing communications expert Rachael Whitson from her kitchen table in North Cornwall, the agency has now grown to a team of 10. Absolute now works with businesses and organisations across a wide variety of sectors including travel and tourism, lifestyle, sustainability, recycling, transport, finance, manufacturing, technology, property, automotive and maritime.

Last year, to mark its 21^st anniversary, Absolute adopted a sustainability plan to reflect the agency’s passion for building brands with purpose. The plans aligned actions and activities with five of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s): good health and wellbeing; sustainable cities and communities; positive climate action; life below water; and life on land.

This year, Absolute reported on its progress, highlighting that it had achieved one of the lowest carbon footprints in the South West, 10 times lower than that of the average person in the UK*.

Rachael Whitson, Managing Director at Absolute PR and Marketing, said: “As we were unable to celebrate our 20^th and 21^st anniversaries due to the pandemic, we decided to celebrate our 22^nd anniversary in style with clients, associates and friends who have supported team Absolute over the past two decades.”

Rachael continued: “We wanted to do things differently, celebrating together in a stunning location that only a very few people have had the opportunity to experience. Between the captivating vocals of Sadie Horler, the vineyard’s wines, and a delicious Persian feast provided by Titley Green, we think we managed to do just that.”
