The Challenge
To raise the profile of Tone, a not-for-profit leisure trust and social enterprise, amongst public sector leisure and community service audiences, highlighting the breadth of leisure and community services Tone offers.
Our Solution
Absolute primarily targeted key national trade publications, both on and offline, with a media relations campaign to help build on Tone’s reputation as a credible, successful leisure trust. We placed by-lined features and news stories to highlight successes in Tone’s centres and community services programme, as well as offer advice and opinions on key industry issues. We also helped manage the set up of Tone’s Facebook and Twitter accounts and acted as a brand consultant during a major re-branding exercise.
What We Achieved
Absolute achieved extensive news and feature coverage in trade publications across the leisure, sport and community sectors. In addition, some stories were pitched at regional and national news media, for example a weight loss success story featured on Radio Five Live, BBC Spotlight and ITV Westcountry as well as in the Daily Mirror, Western Morning News and The Herald. In the period Absolute managed Tone’s social media accounts, followers and likes increased every month.
