The Challenge
The Festival is a three-day celebration of contemporary craft, showcasing the UK’s most innovative and exciting designers. Absolute was retained to raise the profile of the event and drive ticket sales and footfall.
Our Solution
We developed a proactive media relations campaign targeting national consumer media and SW regional media. Features on artisan makers were secured, alongside coverage in the What’s On and News pages of the monthly glossies. Engaging with bloggers was key and we created a campaign of reader offers. Absolute was also responsible for making the most of media partnerships and managing media at the festival.
What We Achieved
We generated significant levels of coverage with an estimated annual readership of 3,259,878 (and that’s excluding online viewers!). We repeatedly secured coverage in our regional and national consumer media targets, with ticket sales increasing each year. The event now attracts 10,000 visitors and is respected as the South West’s leading craft event.
