The Challenge
To raise the profile of BakeryBits.co.uk, an online retailer of artisan baking equipment and products, and to support sales activities on the company’s website.
Our Solution
Absolute developed an ongoing media relations campaign to communicate with BakeryBits’ target audience via national consumer media. Seasonal campaigns targeted monthly national consumer glossies, national supplements, bespoke food media and food bloggers to promote BakeryBits’ specialist products. In addition we devised and planned customer communications including an e-marketing campaign and managed the company’s Facebook and Twitter communities. We also project managed BakeryBits’ first consumer exhibition appearance at The Cake & Bake Show in London.
What We Achieved
BakeryBits received praise from national baking experts and high profile coverage in a number of high circulation, prominent national titles. The online shop also caught the eye of one of London’s major department stores, prompting commercial discussions. Media relations, targeted social media campaigns and exhibition support has helped grow a loyal database of in excess of 30,000 for BakeryBits.
