Cofton Holidays’ launches FIN-fitness classes
With less than six months to go to the general release of Disney’s remake of The Little Mermaid, Cofton Holidays, which earlier this year launched mermaid and shark swimming lessons for children, is offering a new FIN fitness class, giving adults the opportunity to achieve a full-body tone up thanks to full-sized mono-fins.
Creating a splash in the fitness world, the new classes are being launched as part of Ashburn Springs Spa and Leisure’s Health and Fitness event, running from Friday 22nd November to Saturday 23rd November.
Led by Cofton’s qualified Fin2Fit instructor, Chloe, the free FIN fitness tester classes will take place in the heated indoor pool at 6pm on Saturday 23rd November. Providing a fun but incredibly effective method of raising heart rate, toning muscles including core muscles, the mono-fins are one of the latest trends in fitness and training.
Among the other free fitness experiences available, Cofton kicks off with Dance Fitness on Friday 22nd at 9:30am, followed by Cofton Core classes at 10.45am. For those preferring the autumn beauty of the Devon countryside, Walk the Cofton Mile starts at 11:30am, providing a healthy cardiovascular work-out.
Friday ends with a fantastic opportunity to receive 1-1 swimming tuition from Cofton’s professional and experienced swimming teachers. Swim Clinics will assess, give coaching and provide progression options for children aged three and over and adults of all abilities. The clinics are expected to be popular so must be booked in advance by calling 01626 892600.
Saturday offers the chance to plan fitness goals for 2020. From 9:30am, guests can find out more about Cofton’s new Super Six programme. This exciting fitness initiative allows individuals to change the way they think about fitness in just six weeks.
Circuit training, Martial Arts Fitness, Boxing, Battle Rope Fitness, Step Fitness, Cofton Core, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, and Stretch and Tone sample classes are all available on the Saturday. Helen Scott, Director of Cofton Holidays, commented on the autumn Health and Fitness weekend, saying:
“In the run up to Christmas, we’re encouraging adults to try something new, so that they can tone up ahead of the festive season. We’re always looking for fun fitness experiences, and we couldn’t think of anything more enticing than a 5ft fin. Incredibly effective at toning up the body, we’re expecting a lot of interest, not least from parents wanting to be their children’s very own Ariel or King Triton.”
