Redrow customers outside of their new home

Impromptu show home visit sparks dream home purchase for Newton Abbot couple

Mechanic Richard Collins (37) and Care Manager Liane Collins (23) didn’t expect to find their dream home during an afternoon walk in Newton Abbot: “We weren’t actually house hunting, we had a spare hour one weekend so thought we’d have a walk down to Stanbury Meadows to look at the site and show homes, just to be nosy really. We didn’t expect to buy one!” commented Richard.
Richard and Liane are now the proud owners of a three bedroom Letchworth house type at Redrow’s popular Stanbury Meadows development, after moving just 200 metres up the road from another Redrow development, The Fairways. The pair fell in love with the Letchworth show home with its high ceilings, large bedrooms, impressive kitchen/dining room and spacious layout throughout.
The couple used the government’s Help to Buy scheme to upgrade from their two bedroom Evesham house type to their new three bedroom Letchworth: “We chose to buy a Redrow home again because our first home at The Fairways was built to such a high quality. My favourite part of the house is the big lounge where I can cuddle up with our dog Nelson on the sofa to watch TV, and Liane’s is the kitchen/dining room as we now have more space to entertain friends and family,” commented Richard, “We also bought off-plan and were able to choose our kitchen colour scheme, bathroom tiles, extended paving etc.”
The Letchworth is a luxurious, elegant three bedroom home from Redrow’s Heritage Collection which benefits from a stylish en suite off the master bedroom. Simple lines make the most of the home’s spacious, modern interior, blended with traditional features and craftsmanship on its exterior.
Location was also important for Richard and Liane: “We both work in Newton Abbot so living here is vey convenient. We decided to stay in the area partly because the whole vibe is great – we have everything we need from cinema trips and great restaurants to country dog walks and great shops.”
Richard added: “We’ve had an excellent experience with Redrow from sales to customer services, everyone has been helpful and lovely. We were so impressed at how efficiently our snagging was sorted too. We regularly recommend Redrow to those thinking about buying a new home.”
Technician Les Plant helped Richard and Liane move into their previous and current homes: “It’s been very reassuring to have Les help us with both moves – his standard is extremely high and we knew we were in good, trustworthy hands from start to finish.”
There are currently a selection of 3 and 4 bedroom homes at Stanbury Meadows. Prices start from £249,000. Stanbury Meadows is located just over 2 miles from Newton Abbot’s busy town centre on Ashburton Road with good bus links to shops and schools.
