Cofton Holidays to host Free Fitness Weekend, marking the
launch of £20,000 indoor cycling studio

Multi-award winning Cofton Holidays is hosting a free fitness and wellbeing weekend packed full of activities for individuals and the family from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th February. The event will take place at Ashburn Springs Spa and Leisure featuring its gym and fitness studios.
The event will showcase a range of free 25-minute fitness classes with taster sessions throughout the weekend. Classes will take place in the Fitness Studio, Indoor Cycling Studio, The Warren Retreat, the Indoor Pool and outside.
Suitable for all fitness levels, the weekend gives visitors the opportunity to explore the facilities at Ashburn Springs and to take part in a range of classes both existing and new.
The weekend of activity kicks off on the Friday, with a series of classes aimed at non-working parents and retirees and is focused on those new to or returning to exercise. Saturday sees the focus switch to a range of brand new classes such as Les Mills GRIT Cardio, alongside Cofton’s most popular classes, including Les Mills Body Pump. On Sunday, the emphasis is firmly on families, encompassing everything from babies and toddlers swimming classes to Family Aqua Fit classes and Street Dance classes.
Visitors taking part in the weekend will also be amongst the first to use Cofton Holidays’ brand new £20,000 Indoor Cycling Studio, where they can enjoy an Indoor Cycling or Combo Cycle session. Following its refurbishment, the studio now includes a main stage for the instructor, modern lighting and sound system, improved air conditioning and new windows.
After recently seeing an influx of members joining Ashburn Springs due to the start of the new year, Helen Scott, Director of Cofton Holidays, is looking forward to welcoming even more guests and showcasing the classes that are on offer:
“We’re extremely proud of the fitness facilities we have here at Cofton Holidays and are delighted to be able to host a free fitness weekend from 23rd to 25th February. People of all fitness levels are welcome to come along and try out as many classes as they’d like. Each session will be 25 minutes long and is designed to give you a taster of what you can expect from our fitness instructors. The weekend will also give guests the chance to try out our brand-new Indoor Cycling Studio, which includes top of the range equipment, modern lighting and sound system.”
Helen continued: “To ensure you don’t miss out, we strongly urge people to book online as soon as possible spaces are filling up fast. Guests will also get the chance to take advantage of an exclusive membership deal. Anyone who attends our free fitness weekend will receive one month’s free membership when they sign up for a minimum of three months.”
The classes on Friday 23rd February will all be of low impact, perfect for people who are new or returning to exercise. Running from 9:15am to 11:15am, the timetable will include a variety of classes including Stretch ‘n’ Tone, Aqua Zumba and Yoga.
The timetable on Saturday 24th February, 8:00am to 2:55pm, will not only feature Ashburn Springs’ existing classes but a range of new sessions too. Visitors can be amongst the first to trial the new classes which include VIT Step, a step class with variable intensities, ensuring the session is suitable for all fitness levels, and RISE Step Fitness, a step class that goes back to basics.
The Family Fitness Day will mark the end of the weekend, showcasing classes perfect for children and parents. The Sunday timetable will run from 8:00am to 11:25am. The Water Babies team will be on-hand to teach babies and toddlers how to swim, hosting two 25-minute classes from 8:00am to 8:55am. Other child-friendly classes available to trial include Soccer Jam, Zumbatonic and Kids Boxercise. In the fitness studio, sessions including Kettlebells and Yoga will be suitable for parents with children aged 14 years and older, and Creation Station will be available for the little ones.
